Their message is clear: if government wants green growth, it must build with, not for, those scaling the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following recommendations are not theoretical. Here are our top insights and policy asks from each:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regenerative Agriculture<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To mainstream regenerative farming, the UK needs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Outcome-based definitions<\/strong> of regenerative practices (i.e. for soil health, increased biodiversity, enhanced water quality, greater climate resilience).<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Simplified and scalable MRV systems<\/strong> (Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification), combining remote sensing with on-the-ground verification.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Targeted subsidies<\/strong> aligned with ecological impact, not just land area.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Routes to monetise improvements<\/strong> in yield, nutrition and soil carbon beyond government schemes.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nature Restoration and Finance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Nature-based solutions can\u2019t scale without stronger investment and institutional capacity. Key enablers include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Blended finance tools<\/strong> (e.g. asset-backed securities, pooled capital) to unlock private investment.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expanded <strong>standards bodies<\/strong> (like carbon and biodiversity codes) with funding and international alignment.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nature ratings frameworks<\/strong> to improve risk transparency for investors.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Government support for <strong>early-stage project development<\/strong> and <strong>MRV baselining.<br><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Energy Systems &amp; the Grid<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Britain\u2019s grid is modernising but not fast enough. We&#8217;re increasingly seeing <a href=\"https:\/\/technation.io\/tech-nation-climate-tech-startups-2025\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">exciting climate tech startups<\/span><\/a>, but stronger regulation, smarter finance and policy frameworks are needed to reflect the realities of innovation, and turn those strengths into global, <a href=\"https:\/\/technation.io\/sustainability-leadership-report\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">sustainable leadership<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The climate crisis is no longer a future risk, it is a present reality.
